Welcome to Seattle!

We're going on an investigative trip to Seattle, Washington. While we're there, I'd like to you explore the city in search of interesting news articles for the upcoming release of our class magazine Traveling Through Time. Keep your eyes open! Anything can happen in a big, bustling city like Seattle. You wouldn't want to miss the chance to catch an award-winning story!

We'll be working in research teams of three. I want each group to choose a unique story out of Seattle to write about. Create an article that describes the story in 500-600 words and uses at least 3 pictures. You'll create the story in the lab using Word, so be sure to take good notes as you make your way through this virtual field trip. It will be your starting place for ideas.

If you run into any sketchy sightings or questionable situations, be sure to contact your magazine editor-in-chief, Mrs. Olsen. She'll be standing by for your up-to-the-minute reports.

GOOD LUCK!

Learning Objectives

This virtual field trip was created by Angela Olsen and is intended for eighth grade English students. Students will learn how to navigate through a virtual field trip. They will be able to use the field trip information to write an introduction paragraph about the city of Seattle for our class magazine.
